Source Technologies ® introduced the ST9620 MICR printer in January 2009 for a list price of $995 (US), with an OEM-rated print speed of 40 pages per minute (ppm) and a duty cycle rating of 80,000 pages per month. The ST9612 MICR printer followed in June 2009 at a price of $623 (US). Print speed was OEM rated at 35 pages per minute (ppm) with a duty cycle rating of 50,000 pages per month. The multifunction version of the ST9620, the ST9622 MFP was released in September 2010 for a list price of $2,200. Its print speed and duty cycles were the same as for the ST9620, but with added copy, scan and fax functionality.
All three models share the same 30,000 (30K) page yield drum SKU, and at least one of the toner cartridge SKUs. All toner cartridges require chips for the printers to function correctly.
